Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of Clarivex, a data governance interview preparation platform operated by Clarivex Limited, a company registered in England and Wales. By accessing or using Clarivex you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. The Service

Clarivex provides a web-based platform that generates structured governance interview packs aligned to the DAMA-DMBOK framework. The platform is designed for data governance professionals, analysts, consultants, and students.

Clarivex integrates with third-party governance catalogue platforms including Collibra and Microsoft Purview. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with Collibra Inc or Microsoft Corporation.

2. Account Registration

To use Clarivex you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must provide accurate and complete information when registering. Clarivex reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these terms.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Clarivex only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You must not:

• Use the platform to generate content that is misleading, harmful, or in violation of applicable laws
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying AI prompts or algorithms
• Share, resell, or sublicense access to the platform without our written consent
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or systematically extract content from the platform
• Attempt to circumvent any security, access control, or rate limiting features

4. Subscription and Payment

Clarivex offers a free tier with limited generations and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis via Stripe. All prices are shown in GBP (pounds sterling) unless otherwise stated.

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods.

Clarivex reserves the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.

5. AI-Generated Content

Clarivex uses large language model technology to generate governance interview packs. The generated content is provided as a starting point for governance practitioners and should be reviewed and adapted to your specific organisational context.

Clarivex does not warrant that generated content is complete, accurate, or suitable for any specific regulatory environment. You are responsible for validating the content against your own governance requirements and applicable regulations.

6. Intellectual Property

The Clarivex platform, its design, code, and underlying prompts are the intellectual property of Clarivex Limited and are protected by copyright.

Content you generate using Clarivex belongs to you. By using the platform you grant Clarivex Limited a limited licence to process your inputs and generate outputs as part of the service.

Where you have consented to data use for platform improvement, anonymised session data may be used to improve Clarivex's generation quality.

7. Data Protection

Your use of Clarivex is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference. We process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Clarivex Limited is the data controller registered with the Information Commissioner's Office.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clarivex Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Clarivex, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or governance failures resulting from reliance on generated content.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to Clarivex in the three months preceding the claim.

9. Service Availability

We aim to provide Clarivex on a continuous basis but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to suspend the service for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We will endeavour to provide advance notice of planned maintenance where possible.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to Clarivex immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these terms. Upon termination you will lose access to your account and any generated content stored within it.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a notice within the platform. Your continued use of Clarivex after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
